The quick view modal handles variant selection seamlessly. When customers select different attribute values, the modal updates price, stock status, and availability in real-time without any page reload.

If a customer selects a variant combination that doesn't exist, a professional warning modal appears instantly with a clear message: "This combination does not exist". The modal shows exactly which combination was selected and provides helpful tips to try different attribute values. A convenient "Reset Selection" button allows customers to quickly start over. This prevents frustration and guides customers toward valid product combinations.

Invalid Combination Warning Modal

When a customer selects a variant combination that doesn't exist in your product catalog, the system immediately displays this professional warning modal. The modal features a distinctive yellow/amber theme with a warning icon to grab attention while maintaining a helpful, friendly tone. The selected combination is clearly displayed in a highlighted alert box (e.g., "Patas: Aluminio, Color: Negro") so customers can instantly see which attributes they chose. Below, a clear message explains that "This specific variant combination is not available" and provides helpful guidance to try different attribute values. An informative tip section with an info icon suggests viewing the full product page to see all available combinations. Two action buttons are provided: "Close" to dismiss the modal, and "Reset Selection" to quickly clear all attribute choices and start fresh. During this state, the add to cart button and quantity controls are automatically disabled, preventing any purchase attempts of non-existent variants. This professional error handling significantly improves the customer experience by preventing confusion and reducing support tickets.

Out of Stock Behavior:

When "Disable Out of Stock Products" is enabled:

• Add to cart button disabled for out of stock items
• Quantity +/- buttons disabled
• Clear "Out of Stock" message displayed
• Service and consumable products unaffected

When disabled:

• Customers can add out of stock items to cart
• Useful for backorder/pre-order scenarios
• All product types always purchasable

Customer Journey:

1. Browse product listings on shop page
2. Click "Quick View" button on any product
3. Modal opens with product details
4. Select product variants if available
5. Adjust quantity using +/- buttons
6. Click "Add to Cart" to purchase
7. Or click "View Full Details" for product page
8. Modal closes automatically after adding to cart

Quick View Modal - Backorder Enabled State

This screenshot demonstrates a product with 0 units available (or negative backorder availability) displaying the "Out of Stock" label, yet the Add to Cart button remains fully operational and the quantity controls (+/-) are active. This configuration is ideal for businesses that accept backorders, pre-orders, or operate with drop-shipping models where stock information is indicative but not restrictive. Customers are informed about the stock status while maintaining the freedom to purchase.

Quick View Settings - Full Control Enabled

This configuration shows both the Quick View Modal and Out of Stock Control options enabled simultaneously. With this setup, the quick view feature is active across your store, and storable products that are out of stock will have their purchase controls disabled. This means the "Add to Cart" button becomes inactive and the quantity adjustment buttons (+/-) are disabled for products with zero or negative stock. This strict inventory control is ideal for businesses that cannot fulfill backorders and need to prevent customers from purchasing unavailable items. Service and consumable products remain unaffected and are always purchasable regardless of this setting.
